The Formula Editor allows the user to specify what data to retrieve from the accounting system. 
By default, the Formula Editor is configured to open automatically when a function is dragged and dropped into an Excel worksheet. If you do not want the product to work this way, uncheck the Enable Formula Editor pop-up checkbox located in the Application Settings dialog.
IMPORTANT The Enable Formula Editor pop-up setting is ignored for BizInsight installations running on Windows XP and will be disabled in the Application Settings dialog. For those installations, the Formula Editor must be opened by clicking on the Excel fx button:
One feature of the Formula Editor is that the contents of the cell are displayed to the right of the parameter when a cell reference is being used for that parameter. This is very useful for ensuring that you have selected the correct cell and that the cell is formatted appropriately for its value to be passed correctly to the function.
